A La Grange man is now in a critical condition after he was attacked by his girlfriend’s ex-partner, who cracked his skull open and partially severed one of his arms.
Sabutaro Singh, 21, of La Grange, West Bank Demerara, was injured between 8 pm and 9 pm on Sunday at Back Street, Herstelling, East Bank Demerara.
The Guyana Police Force, in a report, stated that Singh, who was at his girlfriend’s home, was confronted by her ex-partner, who threatened to kill him.
The report said the ex-partner dealt Singh several cuffs and chops about his body with the help of three other persons.
Singh was rushed to a hospital after his skull was cracked open. He also suffered a fracture to his right wrist, a partially severed forearm and a deep laceration to the left side of his neck.
He is presently stable but in a critical condition awaiting surgery.
