A Canefield man pleaded guilty to assaulting a 17-year-old girl when he appeared at the Albion Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday and he will return to court at the end of the month for sentencing.
Joshua Lionel, 21, of New Area Canefield Settlement, East Canje, Berbice appeared before Magistrate Rabindranauth Singh where he was read the charge of assault committed on a 17-year-old female from East Canje Berbice.
The man pleaded guilty to the offence and was placed on self-bail. He will return to court on June 30 for sentencing.
