A West Coast Berbice man has been arrested after he allegedly fatally chopped his mother last evening.
Dead is Teshwattie Jaglall also known as `Babo’, 64, of Lot 4 Number 3 Village, West Coast Berbice.
The suspect, Deonarine Dookhoo, also known as “Dinesh”, 41, a security guard resided with the woman.
Jaglall sustained multiple injuries.
The suspected murder weapon, a cutlass was discovered on a table at the back of the house.
An investigation has been launched and the woman’s body is at the Bailey’s Funeral Home awaiting a post-mortem examination.
