The police are awaiting advice from the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) concerning the death of Kumar Persaud, who was struck down while riding a bicycle along the Loo Creek Public Road, Linden-Soesdyke Highway almost a month ago.
A source told Stabroek News that the police believe an inquest is needed based on the evidence gathered so far in order to determine who was responsible for the accident. However, the office of the DPP will determine if an inquest should be done or to institute charges.
