CineGuyana will today acknowledge the winners and participants of last year’s Secondary School Film Competition. Students from President’s College won the two top spots in the competition held as part of the celebration of Guyana’s republic jubilee anniversary.
There were 20 applicants and eight were shortlisted for the competition. The students were required to create short films on mobile phones featuring one of these ten topics: Use of Social Media by Youth; Minibus Culture; Violence in Schools; Bullying; Corporal Punishment; Exams Pressure; Sexting; It takes a Village; Me and the Oil Industry; and Can I be an Entrepreneur?
