Bids received for construction of Yarrowkabra school

Tenders were on Tuesday opened at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board for the construction of a secondary school at Yarrowkabra, Linden-Soesdyke Highway.

In November last year, the government had terminated the contract for the school which had been awarded to BK International.

Eight companies presented bids for the project which was estimated to cost just under $800 million. Bids were also opened for the reconstruction of the Guyana Revenue Authority’s office building at Princes and Smyth streets. This was estimated to cost some $245.6 Million.
