Executives of the Guyana Badminton Association (GBA) met recently with top officials of the Ministry of Sport.
The meeting, the first between the two parties, was held by the GBA to introduce its executives to the ministry.
According to a release from the association, the meeting was a success and the association was pleased with the outcome where the minister outlined the ministry’s objectives.
“The GBA is extremely happy with the outcome of the meeting and thanked the minister and ministry for meeting with us and we look forward to a great co-operation with helping with the development of badminton, “ the release from the GBA stated.
Representing the GBA were president, Gokarn Ramdhani, vice president, Ayanna Watson, secretary, Emelia Ramdhani, treasurer, Darrell Carpenay, assistant treasurer, Marlon Chung and committee member Ryan Chang.
Representing the sports ministry were Minister of Culture Youth and Sports, Charles Ramson Jnr., Director of Sport, Steve Ninvalle, Deputy Director of Sport, Melissa Dow-Richardson and Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Kashif Muhammad.
