The badly decomposed body of an Epsom man, who was reported missing on July 4, was yesterday found in the backlands.
Dead is Floyd Austin, 57, a tailor of Epsom Village, Corentyne.
According to information gathered, a farmer made the discovery yesterday morning and informed police who arrived at the scene around 10. 50 am.
The man was found lying face down in a clump of bushes. He was discovered naked. However, about five feet from the body a pair of black long boots, three-quarter brown pants and blue underwear were found. Additionally, a bottle with a substance was also discovered.
A police source yesterday told Stabroek News that since the man’s body was badly decomposed they were unable to determine whether there was any mark of violence.
The man’s body is currently at the Anthony’s Funeral Home awaiting a post-mortem examination.
