Delron McKenzie, 23, of Roxanne Burnham Gardens, Georgetown was shot dead in Linden last night in what appears to be an ambush.
According to a statement from the police today, Calvin Daly reported that he had been asked by Mckenzie to accompany him to Linden to visit a female friend.
According to the police, Daly reported that they arrived in Linden at 9 pm and were later given varying instructions from the female friend on where they would meet.
When they approached the Silver-coloured wagon that had been sent for them, two gunmen opened fire on them, Daly reported.
The police say that Daly suffered two gunshot wounds on the left and right lower arm with abrasions to both of his arms. He was escorted to the Linden Hospital Complex where he was admitted a patient.
McKenzie’s body was escorted to the Linden Hospital Complex where it was examined by the doctor on duty who pronounced him dead on arrival.
