Two sisters, who Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) officers say had cannabis amounting to 518.7 grammes, in their possession, were on Friday refused bail.
The two women, 24-year-old Shontell Evans, and 19-year-old Phimhera Evans, appeared before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
It is alleged that on a date in July, at Lot 169 James Street, Albouystown, George-town, they had in their possession, 518.7 grammes of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking. The two women who were represented by attorney-at-law Everton Singh-Lammy, pleaded not guilty.
