Guyana-born nurse gets citation from Mayor

Guyana-born nurse Patricia Cummings, who administered a COVID vaccine to United States Vice President Kamala Harris, was yesterday presented with a citation by Georgetown Mayor Ubraj Narine to recognise her many accomplishments. The presentation was done at Narine’s office in the Mayor’s Complex. In a statement on the Mayor’s Facebook page, it was noted that Cummings, who has served for over 15 years, is recognised as a leader and spokesperson in public health. It added that she was featured in several notable nursing journals and has participated in various efforts to provide the public with trusted health information.
