A man accused of snatching a chain in the vicinity of Stabroek Market was yesterday remanded to prison.
The accused, Chris Pollard, appeared before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly in a Georgetown court.
The charge states that on July 22, while at the Route 47 (Sophia) bus park in the vicinity of Stabroek Market, Pollard stole a $70,000 chain from Tenecia Dick.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was remanded to prison.
The court heard that Dick was boarding a bus when the accused snatched her chain.
Dick gave chase behind the accused and he was eventually apprehended.
The matter was adjourned until August 30, 2021.
