A pleasant experience at the passport office

Dear Editor,

I have never written a letter to a newspaper before but I was so moved by my pleasant experience at the Georgetown Passport Office last Friday that I felt compelled to do so. So often we only hear about when things go wrong, but seldom do we hear when they go right.

The staff handled the first 100 persons for the day’s quota and this was done very efficiently with persons 65 and over being given special attention. All the staff were very courteous and explained the procedure in detail to everyone.

I would like to give special mention to Lance Corporal Wright, who went beyond the call of duty to ensure that everyone was aware of what they had to do and made sure that everyone was as comfortable as possible.

The Chief Immigration Officer must also be given credit for a well-run “ship” as he is ultimately responsible for the entire passport application process.

Keep up the good work!

Regards,

Dr Peter de Groot
