A man and a woman who are facing multiple charges including assaulting peace officers and threatening behaviour were yesterday granted bail.
Akeem Daniels, 24, of North Sophia, Greater Georgetown, and Janel Cox appeared via the Brickdam Police Station Hub court before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan who presides at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
Daniels was read three charges which allege that on July 22 at Sandy Babb Street, Kitty, he used indecent language toward a police officer, he assaulted the police officer, and resisted arrest by the police officer. He denied the charges and told the court that he was speaking to the driver of the taxi he was travelling in and that he never used indecent language toward the officer.
