After being shut for more than a year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, cinemas can now reopen at 40% capacity for fully vaccinated persons.
This allowance is part of the updated guidelines gazetted as of yesterday’s date under the name of Minister of Health Dr Frank Anthony.
The guidelines say that operators of cinemas shall ensure that: “only vaccinated persons are at their place of business and those patrons have in their possession an official identification document and their vaccination card which they shall produce when requested to do so by the operator or any person authorized by the Minister of Health”.
Patrons will also have to wear a face mask.
There shall be no concession stand at a cinema.
