The Ministry of Health announced three more COVID-19 deaths on Tuesday along with 81 new cases of infections.
The Ministry of Health announced that the country’s total COVID-19 fatalities increased to 564.
The latest fatalities were identified as a 66-year-old man from Region Six, who died on August 7, a 54-year-old woman from Region Ten, who died on August 8, and a 63-year-old woman from Region Six, who died on August 9.
Meanwhile, the ministry’s COVID-19 dashboard showed the 81 new cases, which increased the total number of confirmed cases to date here to 23,075. The new cases were confirmed after some 2,071 more tests were done.
New infections were reported in seven of the ten administrative regions, with highest cases being recorded in regions Four, Three and Nine with 37, 21 and 13 new cases, respectively. There are now 768 active cases, 77 of which are in institutional isolation, while some 691 are in home isolation.
Additionally, 15 persons are currently patients at the COVID-19 ICU even as 91 more persons have recovered from the virus. As a result the total number of recovered cases now stands at 21,728.
