The Health Ministry on Thursday announced that patients seeking care at public health facilities must be allowed access whether or not they are vaccinated.
The ministry made the announcement via a brief advisory.
The advisory came one day after to blockage of the Mackenzie-Wismar Bridge, which was partly due to citizens seeking care being denied access at hospitals in Region Ten due to newly implemented protocols requiring persons to present proof of vaccination.
The advisory, which is applicable to all ten administrative regions, does, however, state that persons accompanying the patient must show proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test to gain entry to the facilities.
