A woman was recently released on $30,000 bail after a city magistrate heard that she allegedly threatened and assaulted another woman.
Shelyn Bourne appeared before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts, where she was read the two charges.
It is alleged that on July 23, at Laing Avenue, Georgetown, she used threatening language towards Donette James. It is also alleged that on July 25, at Laing Avenue, she assaulted James, causing her actual bodily harm.
Bourne denied both charges and was placed on a total of $30,000 bail. The matters were adjourned until October 20.
