Suriname’s President Chandrikapersad Santokhi is due to arrive in Guyana on Tuesday for a four-day official visit, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced.
The visit is on the invitation of President Irfaan Ali, who visited Suriname last November, when the two presidents launched the Guyana-Suriname Strategic Dialogue and Cooperation Platform (SDCP).
According to a statement issued by the ministry on Saturday, Ali and Santokhi will review the progress made so far under that mechanism in the areas of Foreign Policy Coordination and Political Dialogue, Environment, Health, Infrastructure and Transportation, Agriculture, Immigration, Customs, Security and Private Sector Enhancement.
