Dear Editor,
Swift intervention, it seems, has resulted in the agreed rate being paid to tractor operators, whose services were engaged in the recent flooding in Region Six. While it is good the matter was settled, it has to be wondered, was it because the operators of the region stood their ground, refused to be taken advantage of and demanded their due that the agreed rate was finally approved for payment? Good for the tractor operators. The operators of regions who accepted the reduced rate must be ruing that decision.
