A 24-year-old ‘D’ Field, Sophia man was found dead yesterday morning with gunshot wounds and he is believed to be the victim of a triangular relationship.
Police have since arrested a 21-year-old man and a 28-year-old female in connection with the man’s death.
The dead man has been identified as Keon McPherson of Lot 687 ‘D’ Field, Sophia. Police investigations revealed that at the time of his death, McPherson was in a triangular love affair with a woman from ‘C’ Field Sophia who is said to also be involved in a relationship with another man.
According to a police report, the brother of the deceased, Keron McPherson said that about ten minutes to the midnight hour, the now dead man was home with him when he told him he was going to ‘C’ Field, Sophia.
About 4 am yesterday, an unknown female who called the Divisional Command Centre reported that McPherson was seen in a yard at ‘C’ Field lying motionless with blood on his skin.
McPherson’s body bore gunshot wounds to the left side of his chest and right hand.
He was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. His body is currently at the hospital’s morgue awaiting an autopsy.
