Twenty-three-year-old Budraj Ramlall aka Devin of Adventure, Region Two has surrendered to police after he was involved in an accident at Adventure Truck Line Dam.
The accident occurred on August 23 around 5.35 pm at Adventure Truck Line Dam, Region Two.
Seventeen-year-old Akash Persaud and Michelle Gouveia of Adventure are currently at the Suddie Public Hospital. They were occupants of the bus and suffered injuries. Their conditions are listed as stable.
According to information, Ramall was driving minibus BJJ 4666 east on the said access road when he allegedly lost control of the vehicle and ended up in a trench on the southern side of the said access road.
Residents heard the loud impact and immediately rushed to the scene. The two occupants were then rushed to the Suddie Public Hospital. According to relatives of the minibus driver, he was not under the influence and was giving his relatives a drop at the time of the accident. They also said that he surrendered himself to police and was never hiding as stated in a police media release. The accident occurred not far from where Ramlall resided at Adventure.
Ramlall is currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
