The man accused of fatally stabbing Roy Boston after an argument at a shop in Swan Village, Linden- Soesdyke Highway, last Saturday, remains in police custody as they await further instructions on the matter.
Commander of Region Four (B), Senior Superintendent Mahendra Siwnarine, when contacted by this newspaper, stated that the police are awaiting advice from the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) on the way forward.
Boston, 18, of Lot 5 Swan Village, Linden-Soesdyke Highway, was stabbed at a shop where he was drinking with friends and family.
According to a police report, at approximately 10:15 pm on Saturday, while imbibing at the shop, an argument ensued and Boston pulled out a knife and stabbed a man in the left side of his abdomen and left side of his back.
Boston then began using obscene language to those around and he and the suspect then ended up in a scuffle resulting in the 39-year-old suspect cutting him on his right thumb and stabbing him in the left side of his chest, causing him to fall to the ground. The suspect then fled the scene but was later apprehended.
