Days after a wanted bulletin was issued for him, Dexter Morris on Tuesday surrendered to the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) in the company of his lawyer.

He is presently in custody under investigation.

Morris also known as ‘Bajan’, a resident of Cummings Lodge, East Coast Demerara (ECD) was wanted in relation to the discovery of more than 540 pounds of marijuana at Campbell Avenue, Georgetown, last Friday.

Two other persons: Joseph Wilkinson called `Dreddy’ and Ajay Mahadeo, 25, who were arrested in relation to the find were on Tuesday charged and remanded to prison.

They both denied the allegation and are expected to make their next court appearance on October 6th.

In a brief statement last Friday night, CANU had said that the discovery was made during a joint operation with members of the Guyana Police Force.

The agency said searches were done at two locations within the Campbell Avenue area and a Route 32 (Georgetown-Parika) minibus was also searched.
