The body of an unidentified man was yesterday found at Maria’s Pleasure Koker, located in Wakenaam, Essequibo River.
The deceased was discovered between the hours of 9 and 9.30 am by a resident who had gone to the koker and subsequently raised an alarm after seeing a head floating in the water.
The discovery was reported to the San Souci Police Station and a party of police attended the scene.
The body which was clad in a brown short pants was pulled out and examined for marks of violence but none was observed.
Investigations are ongoing.
