The Ministry of Health today said that as of September 04, 2021, one more person who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 641.
The latest fatality is a 62-year-old male from Region 6 (East Berbice-Corentyne) who died while receiving care at the ministry’s medical facility.
Meanwhile, the ministry reported 215 new cases of COVID-19. Thirty-three persons are in the ICU.
