The Ministry of Health (MoH) yesterday said that two more persons who were infected with COVID-19 have died, increasing the country’s death toll to 659.
In a statement, the Ministry of Health said that the latest fatalities are a 69-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman from Region Four. They both died while receiving state care.
Meanwhile, the ministry’s updated COVID-19 dashboard showed that 240 new cases have been confirmed from 1,777 more tests that were conducted. Of those cases, 154 were from Region Four, 54 from Region Three, 12 from Region Two, 8 from Region Five, 4 from Region Seven, 3 from Region Six and 1 each from regions, Eight, Nine and Ten.
In addition, the dashboard showed that 36 persons were in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 128 in institutional isolation, 2,504 in home isolation and 9 persons in institutional quarantine.
