Police are still awaiting advice on the fatal stabbing of Roy Boston, who was killed last month after an argument at a shop in Swan Village, Linden-Soesdyke Highway.
Region 4 (B) Commander Mahendra Siwnarine said additional information was initially requested by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and after providing it the police are now awaiting a reply on how to proceed.
Boston, 18, of Lot 5 Swan Village, Linden-Soesdyke High-way, was stabbed on August 21 at a shop where he was drinking with friends and family.
According to a police report, at approximately 10.15 pm on the day in question, while drinking at the shop, an argument ensued and Boston pulled out a knife and stabbed a man in the left side of his abdomen and left side of his back.
Boston then began using obscene language to those around and he and another man ended up in a scuffle, resulting in the man stabbing Boston in the left side of his chest, causing him to fall to the ground. The man then fled the scene but was later apprehended.
