The Guyana Geology and Mines Commission (GGMC) is to conduct a lottery of medium scale mining blocks.
According to a notice in yesterday’s Sunday Stabroek, the lotteries will be conducted in four districts:
North west mining district in Port Kaituma on October 2nd at the Port Kaituma Community Centre
The Cuyuni Mining District in Bartica on October 2nd at the GGMC office, 7th Avenue.
The Mazaruni Mining District in Puruni at the GGMC Mines Station and Papishou at Rondy Blyden’s shop on October 2nd.
The Potaro Mining District in Mahdia on October 2nd at the GGMC.
All of the meetings begin at 10 am.
Interested persons can consult the relevant maps at the GGMC.
Meanwhile, on October 9th, the GGMC says that it will be conducting an auction of medium-scale blocks at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre. Registration will be facilitated at the Land Management Division at GGMC Headquarters from September 20th, 2021.
