A 27-year-old man is currently hospitalized at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) after he was riddled with bullets fired by a man in the wee hours of yesterday while he was standing outside of a shop in ‘D’ Field Sophia.
The man who underwent emergency surgery at the GPH is nursing gunshot wounds to his chest, thigh, groin, buttocks, his back and lower abdomen.
According to a police report, fifteen minutes after midnight yesterday, the victim was standing in front of Odingo Shop to the southern side of the street when the two suspects pulled up on a red and white motorcycle (registration number unknown).
The suspects approached the victim at which time an argument ensued between the victim and the men.
The pillion rider then drew a firearm from his front pants waist and shot the victim several times. The suspects then made their escape.
The victim was taken to the GPH. His condition is listed as stable.
Checks were made for the suspects but they could not be found.
