The Guyana Police Force (GPF) is investigating the reported robbery of four persons at the Chico Ramos Gas Station, at Coldingen Public Road, East Coast Demerara on Thursday.
According to a statement issued by the police, the attack was carried out by four persons, who were all armed with handguns.
The attack occurred around 8.35 pm on Thursday.
The police said that the driver of a truck, GPP 9555, along with two other occupants of the vehicle stopped at the gas station to purchase diesel. They all had exited to make purchases when they observed that the truck that they had left turned on had been turned off. They immediately walked back to the eastern side of the gas station where one of the occupants of the truck, a 50-year-old self-employed man of Bush Lot Village, West Coast Berbice, felt someone grab his jersey.
