A Nabaclis, East Coast Demerara (ECD) man has been hospitalised after he was stabbed and chopped about his body by the father of his wife’s child.
The injured man has been identified as 29-year-old Terrence Glasgow.
According to a police report, Glasgow was at his wife’s residence at Golden Grove, ECD when at about 7:30 pm the suspect turned up at which time, the woman and the man ended up having an argument.
Glasgow sought to intervene in the matter and the suspect dealt him a stab wound to the right side of his chest and then chopped him in his abdomen and about his body.
The suspect then escaped on foot.
The victim was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital by his mother and underwent emergency surgery. His condition is listed as stable.
Police investigations are ongoing.
