Over 1,200 persons were inoculated at the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 vaccination drive-thru on Sunday at the National Cultural Centre (NCC) in Georgetown.
This was disclosed by Minister of Health, Dr Frank Anthony during his daily COVID-19 update on Monday where he declared that the drive-thru was a success as many persons came out to be vaccinated even though it was the first time that the NCC was used for that purpose.
He noted that approximately 1,244 persons received their vaccines. “I think it was a tremendous success, a lot of people came through and we had a steady flow of vehicles and we were very pleased with the results.”
Given the positive public response, Dr Anthony said during the update that the authorities are planning in the future, to reuse the site as it is very convenient for vehicles to enter and for persons who also come as walk-ins.
