The 13th edition of Guyana Where and What for 2021-22 is out and already in circulation in hotels, travel agencies, embassies, airports, the Guyana Tourism Authority, and the Tourism and Hospitality Association of Guyana.
Since its first publication in 2007 for Cricket World Cup, the premiere pocket-sized handbook has been published annually except for last year when, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, travelling came to a standstill.
Travel in Guyana, like the rest of the world, was drastically affected. There was the shuttering of lodges and resorts which were subsequently allowed to reopen in the latter part of last year as long as they satisfied authorities with being COVID-compliant. They have since reopened mostly to domestic travel.
Guyana Where and What, which has an active social media presence as well as its own website, has included a special page for advertisers. Visitors using the site can go directly to the advertiser’s webpage.
Guyana Where and What was made possible through sponsorship by various ministries and agencies of the government and the private sector and was edited and published by Gem Madhoo-Nascimento.
