The Ministry of Health yesterday said that as of October 09, 2021, five more persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 840.
The Ministry also stated that 130 new cases of the virus were recorded yesterday. Twenty-seven persons are in the intensive care unit.
