The authorised dealer of Honda motor vehicles in Guyana, Marics & Company Ltd, has issued a recall notice to address issues with vehicles in line with its parent company’s directives.
The recall notice which was published in the Guyana Chronicle yesterday stated that owners of Honda motor vehicles with listed chassis numbers should contact the company. It was noted that the vehicles listed were not sold by Marics & Co.
When Stabroek News contacted the company, a representative stated that the recall is in relation to a defect in the Takata airbags in some of the vehicles. It was also stated that if those persons with the listed chassis numbers contact the company, an inspection would be carried out and if necessary, the defective parts will be changed free of cost.
