Chairman of Region Six, David Armogan last week announced that three locations have been identified in the region for residents to lodge their claims and/or complaints in relation to the government’s flood relief grants.
The announcement came after Vice President, Bharrat Jagdeo visited Region Six, where he held a series of meetings with persons from the various sectors. During the meetings he ordered the regional administration to put a mechanism in place and give one month to persons to lodge their claims of losses and/or complaints about the distribution of the flood relief grants.
At the region’s statutory meeting, Armogan pointed out that many persons had since made claims that they had suffered losses during the May-June flood but that their names were not recorded by the extension and technical officers.
