Designer Deborah Kehinde will launch yet another collection virtually on Monday. Iyanu (which means miracle), a vibrant collection of African prints will debut on the Rhoda Doxa Facebook page.
According to the designer, the cloth used is quality fabric from Nigeria and the pieces were made in that country as well. The collection has more than 30 designer pieces. This collection is available in various designs and different sizes and orders can be placed for customization. The outfits are available for men, women and girls.
“This collection was really created because I want something that people will be able to afford and it’s quality. A lot of people already associate African fashion with being expensive so most people just buy once a year. But this collection basically is an affordable collection with high quality. I want people to be able to wear it every day to the office, to church… it should be an outfit they can wear anytime… I want it to be in everybody’s wardrobe and something that anybody can buy. It’s just a colourful everyday collection,” Deborah shared.
The collection is named after her younger brother Iyanu and Deborah said it rightfully got its name as at the time she needed a miracle in her life. Being able to put the collection together was indeed a miracle for her.
She expressed gratitude to God, and her parents for their unfailing love and support and further noted that Iyanu was a collaborative effort with her mother Rhoda Omolola Kehinde, who is also a designer.
Deborah, who is also a doctor, is looking to expand her online presence. At the moment she has Shea Butter and Black Soap that can be purchased in bulk.
She can be followed on Facebook at Rhoda Doxa, while purchases can be made at the website https://rhodadoxa.com/collections/in-glis-collection.
