Boy injured by shotgun in Duck Creek quarrel

A thirteen-year-old has been injured by a pellet from shots fired in his direction after a confrontation between his father and a farmer at Duck Creek, Corentyne River, Berbice.

The teen was shot in his leg. He was rushed to the Skeldon Public Hospital where he was treated and sent home.

Police yesterday said that the suspect is a caretaker of a cattle farm owned by Moolpersaud Maniram which is located next to the farm of the victim’s father, Ram Nirmal.
