The National Commission on Disability (NCD) is issuing special identification cards which will enable its users to expedite services available from commercial banks, hospitals, post offices and other providers countrywide.
An advertisement by the NCD in the last Sunday Stabroek said that persons age 8 and above who have a permanent disability are eligible to apply for the Disability Identification Card. Applications can be processed on the Commission’s website at ncdguyana.org or at their office at Lot 49 Croal Street, Stabroek, Georgetown.
Persons with disabilities (PWDs) already registered with the NCD are also encouraged to apply for the card. For persons who have disabilities that are not visible, an assessment will be facilitated during the application process at the Regional Stimulation Centre located in the Cyril Potter College Compound at Turkeyen.
