Andre Gomes also known as ‘Zipper’ was arrested on Tuesday night following the discovery of two kilogrammes of cocaine at his Campbellville home.
In a statement issued yesterday, the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) confirmed that Gomes and another individual, Eon Joseph were taken into custody following the operation.
According to CANU, ranks conducted the operation at Gomes’s Craig Street, Campbellville home during which the illegal drug was found.
The cocaine carried a value of $2M.
This is not the first time Gomes is being arrested in relation to drug trafficking.
In 2018, Gomes was arrested at the same address after he was allegedly caught handling 2.1 pounds of cocaine. Later the same year, he was freed following a trial.
The cocaine was disocvered in a gas bottle on Sheriff Street, Georgetown.
