Eon Joseph, one of the two men arrested on Tuesday with two kilogrammes of cocaine, was yesterday sentenced to three years in jail and fined over $3 million for the crime.
Joseph, 34, was sentenced after he pleaded guilty to a possession of a narcotic for trafficking charge, while his co-accused, Andre Gomes, also known as ‘Zipper’, 60, of Lot 32 Craig Street, Campbellville, George-town, was remanded to prison.
The two were hauled before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts for their arraignment.
