Boy, 16, among trio charged with robbing overseas-based Guyanese at 73 Village

A 16-year-old boy and two men were yesterday charged with robbing overseas-based Guyanese Shamwattie Naipaul in an tack at Number 73 Village, Corentyne, early last week Monday.

Paul Kirton, 38, of Smithfield, New Amsterdam, Tuleshwar Narayan, 35, of Number 72 Village, Corentyne, and the 16-year-old appeared via Zoom before Magistrate Alex Moore at the Spring-lands Magistrate’s Court.

Kirton and Narayan were charged separately with one count of armed robbery each while the juvenile was charged with two counts of armed robbery.
