Health Minister Dr Frank Anthony on Tuesday announced that authorities have noticed a recent decline in COVID-19 cases across the country.
During his daily COVID-19 update, Anthony stated that although there are areas that can be considered hotspots, generally there has been a decrease. “We have noticed a trend where there has been a decline in cases across the country. So right now, we have 2,673 active cases and the cases vary by regions, so the regions where I would consider that we have hotspots I would say really are Region Three, Region Four we also have in Region Eight and Region Ten,” the minister said.
Anthony noted that as a result of the country recording fewer cases, there has also been a decrease in the hospitalisation rates. He reported that up to yesterday morning there were a total of 60 persons in hospitals across the country and of that number 35 persons were at the Ocean View hospital.
