Dear Editor,
In addition to the very articulate reference by Christopher Ram in SN of November 01, 2021 on the confirmation of the incumbents of the respective positions of Chancellor and Chief Justice, commonsense (the rarest sense of all) would point to the reality that the active participation of the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly is de facto recognition of the Government, and of course its President. Why is it therefore so difficult for this Leader to recognise this admission and rise to the moral status of being larger than the perceived quibblings/quibblers?
