Dear Editor,
The swirling brouhaha concerning recent criticisms against the judiciary, in particular the CoA, it has to be pondered: isn’t the resort to an appeal against a ruling, a form of registering disfavour with the ruling and can be inferred as a criticism against the judge and by extension the court? So the right to appeal a ruling is inhere with basic rights, so too is the right to respectfully criticise. Once in public office criticism goes with the territory.
