A 50-year old East Berbice, Corentyne woman is the country’s latest COVID-19 fatality, the Ministry of Health (MoE) yesterday reported.
The woman, who died on Saturday, was fully vaccinated, according to the MoE.
Her passing takes the country’s death toll to 942.
Data released yesterday from the ministry stated that from 1,950 new tests, 101 new positive cases were detected.
The COVID-19 dashboard also showed that 11 patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, 73 persons are in institutional isolation, six are in institutional quarantine while 2562 are in home isolation.
