Attorney General Anil Nandlall SC and a government team on Friday visited Zeelugt, East Bank Essequibo to initiate the process of titling for around 87 householders.

A release from Nandlall’s Chambers on Saturday said that the individuals were either employed by GuySuCo or are their descendants. They had been allotted house lots as far back as 1997 but had never received titles although the block title had been passed from the Guyana Sugar Corporation (GuySuCo) to the Sugar Industry Labour Welfare Fund Committee (SILWFC).

An occupational survey has already been completed and the processing of the titles will now begin. Nandlall promised that the process will be completed within three months
