The Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) through funding from the government to the tune of approximately $6M has provided improved and first-time access to potable water for some 225 residents of Gooharoo and Grant Sand Road, Soesdyke.
This is as a result of the extension of the distribution network by a total of over 1000 metres, GWI said yesterday. The work was done by Amit General Supplies and Construction services.
Chief Executive Officer of GWI, Shaik Baksh on Wednesday led a team to the area and met with residents who have not yet been connected to the extended distribution network.
