A Kwakwani, Upper Berbice River youth was remanded on a rape charge on Thursday.
Mark Fontanelle, 20, of Lot 67 First Phase, Kwakwani, Upper Berbice River, appeared via Zoom at the Linden Magistrate’s Court, where Magistrate Wanda Fortune read the charge to him.
He is accused of the rape of a child under 16 years of age.
He was not required to plead to the charge and was remanded to prison until December 19.
